Abstract

Restorative dental teams have an abundance of options at their disposal when selecting materials for each case. No universal solution is best for every situation, however, so understanding these materials and the science behind them is of paramount importance. Join Robert C. Margeas, DDS, as he and a panel of experts explore the clinical indications, applications, and best practices for PMMA and other milled temporary materials, chairside resin materials, lithium disilicate, and zirconia. Achieving predictable and successful restorative outcomes both esthetically and functionally depends heavily on selecting the ideal materials for each situation, and it all starts with understanding these materials.
